Notes:
Bee really got carried away with her contribution to our California Common. I mean, REALLY really. I was all, "Ugh. BEEE... It's gonna be so sweet!" and Bee was all, "Pssh. Don't even worry about it. Those yeasty beasties will do their business and balance it out." And son of a B, if Bee wasn't right. This stuff is DELISH. Fragrant. Balanced and sweet. Just the right beer to have you telling the yin to your yang. "Come on, Baby! Let's get Sleazy!"

Mostly clear bronze with a sudsy cream head with light lacing as you go down the glass. Smell and taste are clones: very sweet honey atop the sweeter caramel malt, hints of orange, general fruity esters, and a flower bite on the finish. Taste begins to cloy a bit as you go. Feel has the california common smoothness but much sweeter with the honey and hops being extremely light. The last few ounces of the can were a bit tedious with the sweetness

Look: a bright yellow can with a hippo/bee mutant looking guy. Lol like what a hippo and a bee smashed one time!!! I would join...
Smell: French inhaled the beer bc that’s what you do.
Taste: I loved this beer. Tasted different than most beers I have had bc the honey. Totally would get again.
Feel: felt pretty good after about 6 cans
Overall: will be purchasing again for taste and the can. Wanting to try more twisted hippo bc this beer was so good

Great ‘Midwest Ale’ love the honey added in - A bit less hoppy than an IPA but that’s expected

Pours clear medium amber, head is present although small. Subtlety fragrent notes, not in your face, looking for more. Honey is at the forefront, some hop bitterness. Just a tad too much honey for me. Not a bad brew tho.

Tasted in a snifter from a 1 pint 6 fl oz bottle on January 7, 2018. Look is slightly hazy pale with a thick white head and lingering lacing. Smell and taste is bitter citrus, honey and biscuit malt. Feel is light in body.

On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is a biscuit with honey-like note with a lemon zest and some pine; overyall fairly mellow. The beer is lightly hazy and pale with a puffy, generous white head that has decent retention and good lacing. The taste is a medium, mellow sweet and medium bitter, but just slightly off-balanced. The texture is oily thin with a zippy carbonation. The light body is doughy up front with honey and a light, bitter citrus that finishes with a decent spicy zip. The aftertaste is dry and astringent with a pine and bitter wax character.
