‘Amra’, which is Sanskrit for Mango, intertwines fruity hop characters of a west coast-style IPA with the fruitiness of juicy juicy mangos, resulting in an elaborate and psychedelic tapestry of flavors that were absolutely destined for each other in this beer. Cheers!

Had this fresh from the tap a their main brewery in Normal, Illinois. Home of the Redbirds. Look was a clear light orange color. Smell consisted of hops and mango. Taste was very similar and fortunately the mango did not taste artificial like the smell made me to believe. Feel was a very crisp finish that kept you coming back for more. The abv of 7% is hardly notice and I would consider this sessionable. Overall, another outstanding IPA from Destihl. If you haven’t tried Amra yet go out and do so as it will be your new beer of the summer.

Pours a somewhat clear golden with a white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of mostly mangoes with notes of caramel and slightly bready malts. Taste is semi sweet and dominated by mangoes finished with a nice floral hop bitterness. It's averagely carbonated and goes down easy. Overall not bad but not my first choice from destihl.

Poured a cloudy orange body with constant half-finger head that leaves lace lace patches down glass. A mild tropical fruit aroma with some earthiness as well. A tad creamy, actually, sweet medium body with mango sweetness and juicy finish. Slightly bitter and finishes crisp and easy to drink with good finish.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, golden-orange color. It has a nice flat white head that fades quickly. (3.75)
Aroma: Aromas of grapefruit, pineapple, and some orange citrus. Some slight stonefruit underneath. Pale malts. Not getting much mango on the nose. (3.5)
Flavor: Flavor follows the nose with grapefruit, pithy orange, and pineapple. It ends with a slight stonefruit sweetness that could represent peach, apricot or mango. A moderate bitterness that is slight pith and slight pine to finish. (3.5)
Feel: Medium bodied and good carbonation. Finishes slightly heavier, but the bitterness matches it well. Balanced. Not any remarkable astringency. (3.75)
Overall: This is a pretty tasty IPA, but misses the mango. I get pineapple, orange, and stonefruit with some mild grapefruit pith and pine bitteness. Yes, it's a good IPA, but I really don't get a whole lot of mango nor west-coast bitterness. If you call it a mango IPA, it should have mango. I respect the effort. I'd give it a good rating for an IPA, but for a mango west-coast style, I'm not getting that here. It helps itself that it's pretty balanced. A good IPA, but not a west-coast, mango whatever you call it. (Final rating: 3.54)

12 ounce can. Pours a somewhat cloudy pale gold with a decent white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical. Taste is citrus, mango, and malt. Not all that much mango. Decent.

Poured from a can into a tulip.
Pours a hazy shimmering medium-gold with a two-fingered pillowy foamy head with remarkable staying power.
The aroma is very fruity with only slight pine/resin hop notes. Honeydew, musk melon, pineapple and papaya come to mind as does white grape.
As sweet as the aroma was, the flavor is rather piney, bitter, and a touch boozy for the style and ABV. The hop tingle is strong in this one. Still, hints of of mango, melon and pineapple are detected, if a bit hidden.
The feel is solid. Well-carbonated, medium-bodied, and medium-dry.

A: slight haze; deep gold in color; 1+ finger ivory head that receded to a thick cap; nice lacing;
S: not especially pronounced; mango is evident, with orange and caramel in the background;
T: follows the nose from start to finish; mango completely dominates the aftertaste; mild bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation lightly dry finish;
O: the mango does come through; other than that, this isn't all the interesting;
