If you like Piña Coladas, then you're going to love this fun, refreshing take on our Leipzig-style Gose, which is brewed with pineapple and coconut for a tropical twist on this classic sour ale. The combination provides an added layer of sweet, fruity complexity to our Gose that is already known for its tart, citrusy qualities while still balanced by French sea salt and hints of spice from added coriander.

Enjoyed on the homefront,4/10/22.
Light star in color with just a slight haze and a few bubbles.
Couldn't get a whole lot on the nose other than the typical "sour" aroma of a Gose.
The flavor was much more satisfying, delivering definite sour pineapple and maybe a hint of coconut on the finish. Bright in the mouth. Good overall.
I must note, my last sip sat for a bit as I got distracted at home. When I returned the be had warned up a bit (which, I believe, is how the beer style is intended to be enjoyed) and so much more of the coconut and pineapple came through! Delightful.

Two twelve ounce cans were emptied into a clear glass liter mug. The color of the brew is a light amber with a yellow tinge to it. It's just a little cloudy, but much closer to translucent. An aroma of coconut and sour pineapple can be detected. The head that may have been two inches thick at the time of the pour is soon not to be found. Even after a few attempts to adjust the taste buds, this just has too much coconut flavor that's out of balance with the pineapple. That doesn't necessarily sound like a bad thing, but this isn't the wonderful taste of roasted coconut, it's more like slightly sour coconut juice. Or, it just might be the added coriander that muddles things. As the vessel drains, that becomes the more likely culprit. The mouthfeel is good and there's a nice sweet to tart and sour transition to taste. A version with more pineapple character and less coriander would be worth a try. With so many fruited kettle sours and other goses readily available, this will get a future pass over.

12oz can
Cloudyish, actually smells like the drink. Salty, with a pineapple backing, and lots of piña colada flavor mixed in.. I can't help but suspect it is artificial, but it's tasty either way
This tasted like the green can with some coconut and pineapple candle wax melted in. But it did pull off the Piña Colada taste, which is impressive

Pours a bright effervescent gold with a pinky of beige head, head falls away quickly. Zero head retention & lacing
S: Some pineapple & salt
T: Sour & sweet pineapple, some coconut, salt up front. Salt coriander & pina colada flavors as this warms, plus a little dryness. Finishes tart, salty with some pineapple & coconut
MF: Medium body, minimal carbonation
Well done sour from these guys as per usual, very drinkable

Canned 3/18/20
I enjoy trying all the variants in this series and I love a good pina colada so this should be good
Pours a cloudy straw with 2 quickly fading fingers of white head that leaves a ring of bubbles
Aromas of sweet coconut, light pineapple and mango, with minor notes of green apple and an off note of diacetyl, but not entirely off putting
The taste starts with lightly tart pineapple, quite refreshing. Mid palate and the finish ends with sweet, raw coconut and just a touch of salt, slight lime as well
Light bodied and tart with mild carbonation, this finishes in an odd spot between dry and sticky, just kinda neutral
This one was refreshing and nice for the summer, but nothing super interesting or something I would buy again

Gold in color with a light haziness. There’s no head, but plenty of carbonation bubbles. The aroma is of pineapple and coconut that is clearly muted by the salt. I’m tasting pineapple and coconut with a trace of coriander. The mouth is moderately carbonated and crisp.

Absolutely superb. Refreshing, intriguing. The sour is not outweighed by the sweetness of the Pina Colada. Lives true to its name.
