This English-style 'Ordinary Bitter' has a gold-copper color with medium bitterness, light body and low residual malt sweetness. English hop flavor and aroma character is evident with traditionally mild carbonation. Fruity-esters and very low diacetyl (butterscotch) characters are acceptable in aroma and flavor, but are minimized in this form of bitter. Maybe someday we'll tell you where the name came from.

Listed as 3.7% ABV, 27 IBU, served in an imperial pint glass.
Color was a shade of dark orange fading into brown, with a head that maintained a ring around the edge after a few minutes.
Fairly basic aroma of malt that had a slight sweetness. The sweet dextrin smell reminded me of strong euro lagers i've had, for better or worse.
Toasted malt with very earthy hop notes. Bitterness was fairly low, and it was light bodied. There was a faint apple taste from the yeast. It had lower carbonation, on par with traditional Bitter, but it was still present with a swirl of the glass.
Very sessionable, the most promising session candidate from this brewpub. It's light, but certainly doesn't sacrifice flavor. This one gets an 'A' in my book.
