Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange red with a small white head. Smells of sour cherry. Tastes of creamy sour cherry. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

been ages since i had a sour from these guys, i think they are picking up a little in boise, starting to see more of their stuff come around, especially on tap, in recent months. this isnt a bad base sour, more puckery than most but the acidity is relatively clean and professional, even if its a bit sharp, its the cherry part that turns me off a little, and a small pour of this was plenty for me. neon pink from the tap with a lighter pink head of tiny bubbles, looks bright and attractive, uniquely colorful. the nose and taste is more cherry candy than actual cherries, doesnt have that authentic fruit character to me hardly at all, not sure what they make this with, but it presents like a sour candy, a cherry jello packet, that sort of thing. i dont get a lot of pie character either, just the acid and a little lemon there, and this overpowering cherry thing, perhaps also a sort of forced floral aspect, but its more like kids drink than beer to me. nothing from the grain to add a pie crush element, and as far as i can tell it is not spiced, but the bracing acidity sort of interrupts the flavor trajectory midway through, so this never really hits for me, even though i think it tastes pretty good as like a new school candy type sour, its not a bad beer, but its not what i was looking for, and only those who dont like the taste of normal beer at all will find this fully appealing i reckon. very sweet and also a little more acidic than is reasonable, but that has been a trend with some other beers in this series. i have been loving their hoppy beers, but this sour was a little bit of a let down...
