Like a Matryoshka or ʻnestingʼ doll, the secret of Dosvidanya Imperial Stout lies locked deep within her dark, mysterious and elaborate wooden layers. We said Dosvidanya, or ʻfarewellʼ, to the hidden soul of this bourbon barrel-aged beer for several months before now revealing its rich, robust and roasty maltiness. This stout features flavors & aromas of sweet banana, bourbon, oak, vanilla & cinnamon, with a dry finish.

16 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 11/19/21, had 3/4/22.
Pours an opaque dark brown, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating head and light fizzy lacing. Aromas of cinnamon, malt, chocolate, light bourbon, light vanilla. Flavors resemble the nose- bourbon, cinnamon, malt, some banana and vanilla, light chocolate. Smooth, pretty dry, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
Good, because it’s Dosvidanya, but flawed. The cinnamon just dominates- who puts that much in banana bread? The barrels are light, with very little banana- which people do put in banana bread. A not up to standard variant.
