Like a Matryoshka or 'nesting' doll, the secret of Dosvidanya imperial stout lies locked deep within her dark, mysterious and elaborate wooden layers. We said Dosvidanya, or ʻfarewellʼ, to the hidden soul of this beer aged in Laird’s Apple Brandy barrels for several months before conditioning on cinnamon and vanilla. This imperial stout boasts a rich and decadent flavor profile with apple brandy notes, warming cinnamon and velvety vanilla undertones.

5oz draft pour into a thimble taster. dark, dark brown with a thin sandy brown foam cap. spirit barrel, dark fruits, oak, light vanilla on the nose. taste follows with a more pronounced apple brandy finish. medium-dull mouthfeel with an oak-forward and dry finish. not bad. not as chocolaty as i recall bourbon and rye versions being but still solid. glad it was a smaller pour.
