Like a Matryoshka or 'nesting' doll, the secret of Dosvidanya lies locked deep within her dark, mysterious and elaborate wooden layers. We said Dosvidanya, or 'farewellʼ, to the hidden soul of this rye whiskey barrel-aged beer for several months before now revealing its rich, robust and roasty maltiness. This imperial stout brings notes of toasted coconut with spiciness from the barrel and added rye for a harmonious flavor experience. Please consume slowly and enjoy. Cheers!

5oz draft pour served in a minisnifter. Shiny black with the faintest dark brown foam cap. Good barrel presence on the nose with coconut and some chocolate. Taste is sweet coconut up front with rye barrel, chocolate and some vanilla in the finish. It almost gets a little artificial / sun tan lotion coconut flavor to it which unfortunately I do not care for at all. I don’t know if that’s a toasted vs raw coconut thing or what. It’s not completely consumed by this flavor profile but it is there. It has a medium-full mouthfeel with a slick and smooth finish and good touch of carbonation to the finish. Overall, not bad. Would rather have it without the coconut but this was still tasty in a small dose.
