The best of both brewing worlds: A hybrid Belgian-American strong pale ale with golden-copper color, medium body and maltiness, low caramel/toasty malt flavor, floral and citrus-like American-variety hops used to produce high hop bitterness, flavor and aroma but some phenolic spiciness and high fruity esters from Belgian ale yeast.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the Mundelein Craft Beer Fest.
Since I went to school out of state, this fest has been my first experience with Destihl. This offering pours a clear sunrise golden-amber topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mixed greens, mild biscuit, light banana, mild clove, light grass, and a bit of honey. The taste brings in more of the same, with a real vein of Belgian yeast striking through. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a nice little Belgian-style deal, but one that just seems a bit too hoppy for me, as it overpowered the yeast and spice characters.
