This beer is to commemorate the Battle of the Somme in 1916.

Pours a clouded yellow. Very thin white head. Nose is minimal grains. Flavor is grain-peppered as well. Minimal sweet tones. Nice earthiness. Are there poppies used in this? This is the problem in using interesting ingredients. How do I know what poppy tastes like? I don't like poppy bagels and I'm not really into heroin, so what do I know. Anyways. Feel is smooth on liquid. Carbonation is biting and obtrusive a bit. Overall this is a nice drinking beer. Interesting character tones, yet not overly obnoxious so that it makes it a wacked out drinking experience. I like this beer. If you see it, try it.
