i liked this place a lot, despite not hearing much hype from the locals about their beer, i was pretty stoked on it overall. its a roomy space right downtown, with the brew house visible on in a separate area from the bar, which is airy and wide open and spacious, an older looking building but with a nicely redone feel to it. they also have a killer upstairs area with more seating and rooftop patio, about as relaxing a spot as it gets, hours and hours could pass up there with some cold ones, but i posted up at the bar downstairs and chatted up the tender. they had a nice list of beers on, maybe a dozen or so, with a loose german focus, authentic pils and a doppelweizen were both very good, but they also had some more experimental type brews that i enjoyed including a lighter baltic porter, a well done rye lager, and a barrel aged sour brown, i didnt have a bad beer in here and in fact was pleased with all of them. the dude serving was well informed and an easy guy to talk with, kept a pretty busy spot well hydrated, and offered some history of the place. i was impressed with the diversity on the beer menu and surprised there isnt more local hype, perhaps there is a disconnect between the marketing on their packaged beer and the true quality of their beer, they look a little cartoonish, but the liquid here was excellent. cool place to hang out too, i will be back without a doubt!

Quick stop in June 2018 while touring downtown Kalispell before hitting GNP. Kids loved the free popcorn. Nice selection of about 8-10 beers with various to go options. Well constructed sampler with a good range of styles and flavors. Worth a visit.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Great Beer and Great People, just what Kalispell needed!

The Pilsner here is quite good. Not that common malty, sweet crap. Had a witbier that was very good too. This place is a destination.
