A true hefeweizen, heavy on the wheat and unfiltered yeast! The Lena Hefeweizen is a golden wheat color, with notes of fruit and clove, very drinkable and refreshing. True to the style, this beer is unfiltered and naturally cloudy in appearance.

Taste: not what I expected from this style, rather sour, tart, fruity, airy bite. Fruit some wheat with slight funk nose. Golden hue, hazy, with white head and some lace. Medium body.

Draft at the brewery tap room, quick review from notes.
Hazy opaque orange, thin layer of frothy surface foam. Ok coverage and spotty lace, but not approaching the majestic look of a traditional hefe.
Aroma has a pleasant banana ester, though somewhat mild overall.
Taste is mild and wheaty with a banana note, it's ok.
Feel is a little thin, should be more creamy and full if going for a traditional rendition.
Overall this beer was just ok, but probably one of the better ones of the lineup.
