What’s your perfect situation? Ours is this delightful American Pale Ale! The Lena Perfect Situation is golden in color, features a smooth malty flavor, and packs a big citrus hop punch! While similar to an IPA, our Perfect Situation is a bit lighter, making it a great, easy drinking, hoppy craft beer!

Cloudy amber-orange body, soapy fine eggshell head that fades to look like swamp water. Nose is incredible. The variety of tropical fruits is wide and all realistic- mango, cantaloupe, passionfruit, orange, mild pineapple, all backed by floral honey. There's yet still more to this aroma, nearly like caramel praline ice cream, as odd as that is to put in writing. Overall intoxicating in its own right. Taste takes a major dive, nearly completely muffling all those wonderful aromas. Only a hint of fruitiness, with toasted grain and mild chalk taking the lead role here. Off dry, barely bitter. Feel is light bodied, airy even.
All of the chips are in the 'nose' corner here. That can stand with the best APA/IPA/AIPA's around, if one is open to the fruity aspects of beer. Apart from that, this one doesn't have much to offer.

Draft at the brewery tap room, quick review from notes.
This was probably my second favorite of the lineup here, most were forgettable.
Bright golden orange with sharp clarity, rapid rising streams of carbonation. Frothy skim and lace around the edges. Looks nice enough, I believe this is described as an APA not an IPA.
Hoppy aroma, mild Cascade or Centennial grapefruit peel citrus.
Taste is similar with a light to moderate bitterness that fades in the aftertaste. Grapefruit peel and pale malt. Slightly thin but acceptable for an APA. Pretty drinkable. They should have this on tap in the restaurant, it's more versatile than the beers they had on.
Shill reviews dated 2014 were from before the brewery even opened in 2015.

The Perfect Situation from Lena is a solid easy drinking APA. It poured a golden color with white head that left a lace. The scent carried mild sweetness and floral hop. The taste was well balanced...with slight bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is medium in body with smooth carbonation. Overall this is a solid beer.

Aroma is floral, light dank hops and fruit/slight funk. The flavor is fruit, grapefruit, citrus, malts and a bitter/slightly tangy finish.

A very enjoyable session IPA! For those who want a little hop flavor, but still wanna pound 16 beers in 4 hours with their buddies who are drinking "normal" macro-brews, and not have the un-fair disadvantage of drinking a way higher abv beer.
It's similar to Founder's "All Day IPA", and kinda like New Glarus's "Moon Man". A keg of this in my basement will replace the bulk of bottles of similar beers I've been purchasing.
Much too light & tasty to have only one!
