I tried this beer at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a clear copper with white head that left some lace. The scent had subtle bitter hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter hop presence. The mouthefeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

I was traveling to Galena, IL on Highway 20 and came across this brewery ( a farmhouse converted into a brewery and purchased three six-packs. This was one of the beers and I'm amazed at what I am tasting. The color is deep amber and smell is all hop. I don't give all 5-star ratings willy-nilly, but is one of the best IPA's I've had in a while.

Aroma is spices, citrus/fruit and mild sugar/candy/caramel. The flavor is caramel, fruit/citrus, malts, mild sugar/candy and a spicy hot/slightly drying finish.
