“More hops” often has little place in the world of well-balanced beers, that is until now. Más Hops Double IPA pushes the limits. High hops meets high refreshment in this hugely aromatic and flavorful IPA. A bouquet of pine and citrus sets your palate up to appreciate the flavors of orange and grapefruit rind. A sharp hoppy bitterness is balanced by a pleasant, malty body. Más Hops is a beer that truly comes alive in the contrasts.

At the brewery.
Amber color with a thick head with good retention.
Aroma with notes of passion fruit, lychees, pineapple core and caramels.
Flavor with notes of pine, resin, spices, mango, lots of caramel, American yeast and grapefruit. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Full body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 10% is hidden behind its heavy malt base.
DIPA based on traditional recipe, though I prefer when the malt base doesn't come across too caramel sweet. Still this was well executed, you got to respect a 10% abv brew.

Boastful with its extreme hop bitterness, alcohol content, floral whimsy and its loopy effects, this sexy IPA is well suited for the southern Florida beer scene. And the brewers at Concrete Beach know just how to wet such whistles- with more hops!
Mas Hops pours a deep golden, amber haze with a frothy eggshell froth to float above. Delicate lace trickles while the nose swirls with citrus, tropical, stone fruit and an herbal medley of pine and grass. Glossing the tip of the tongue with caramel, honey and graham cracker, the beer's malty upstart is just enough to offer support for the hops to come.
While the sweetness, nuttiness and toasty malts relax, the hoppy flavor spread from pink grapefruit, dried pineapple, orange peel, apricot and mango deliver a juicy middle palate before turning to a bitter and resinous finish that's chocked full of torn pine needles, fresh cut grass and honey dipped sawdust.
Medium full in body, the beer's sweetness holds firm and ensures a balance for hops but respectful not to dominate them. Its lingering weight provides a full and lush taste and texture while its hop resins apply a drying effect that links up with spicy alcohol and toasty malt remnants for a beer that strives for dryness and refreshment but its culinary balance keeps the balance respectful.
