Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing "Brett Amber"
on tap at the brewery on 15 January 2017
Notes: Slightly hazy gold-amber body beneath a short head of creamy white that drops readily to a thin collar and leaves next to no lacing behind (as is common with sour beers). Aroma of malt and sour apple. The flavor follows, and it's very tart for a Brett beer. It's acidic like vomit, but it's also tart then smoothed, so it comes around in the end with a malty, apple-like finish. I'm not really finding any Brett character, just a sharp tartness. Medium-light body, crisp and acidic.
