Forgotten Boardwalk Brewing "Flying Fortress"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$3.49 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Look: Hazy golden body beneath an average sized head of white. Better than average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Surprisingly hoppy with a woodiness that's not quite pine, and a suggestion of sweet citrus over a sweetish malt base.
Taste: Basic, straightforward golden malt. Hoppy with notes of soft woodiness, flowers, orange, and a delicate earthy spiciness. Moderately bitter with a dry finish. Some woodiness, earthiness, and a delicate spiciness linger gently.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: Really quite nice. They've taken a basic golden ale and amped it up a bit with what seems to be a combination of noble German and restrained American hops.

Pours a straw hazy yellow. White frothy head sticks throughout. Smell is slight resin, pine tar, maize, biscuit. Taste follows with the smell but has the addition of stone fruit. Feel is script and extremely clean. The finish is non existent. I’d drink again.
