3rd review, local brewer, big fan, this is fine strong chocolatey roast stout.
a) black body with light carbonation.
s) Coffee, dark chocolate, roasted beans and wood.
t) More powerful flavor adds milk chocolate and shaved chocolate drizzle.
f) medium body, nice weight
o) Not too sweet, but still a dessert stout, easy going, hides ABV.

Dark Ride pours a dark, dark brown with a dark brown head that initially looks amazing but then quickly vanishes.
Aroma is primarily of cocoa, like Nesquick chocolate powder, with hints of light coffee.
Flavour is dark, roasted grains mixed accented with milk chocolate. It's not a sweet, chocolate beer, as the description might leave you to suspect, but rather a stout a chocolate accent - similar to Brooklyn's Double Chocolate Stout, but with more of a milk chocolate character.
It feels thick and rich, as a stout should.
Overall, I find it slightly disappointing, but maybe that's a case of mis-marketing. It's billed as a "black chocolate stout", so I expected a lot of chocolate character that isn't here. It's a stout with a cocoa aroma and milk chocolate. I wish it had focused one either the stout aspect to really bring out those roasted grain notes, or the chocolate aspect to really bring for a rich, chocolate flavour. As is, it tastes like an okay stout that someone mixed Nesquick chocolate powder into - it's fine, but not exciting or memorable.

Dark cola black appearance with medium light carbonation. Around a medium body, slight thick feel
Aroma is black coffee, dark fruit, milk chocolate with a little bakers dark chocolate. Everything in the aroma comes off even without anything overpowering the other elements.
Taste is very mildly sweet yet in a way comes off dry. I think its the milk and dark chocolate taste that makes this a bit complex and very rich and flavorful.
Overall a really nice stout that I wouldnt call a dessert beer but a rich enjoyable beer
