Appearance - The beer was dark black with an off-white head.
Smell - The nose was lightly smokey and boozy. The nondescript nose betrays the taste.
Taste - The initial impression I got was lightly smokey, sweet caramel. The bourbon taste is present without any burn. The roasty notes are more obvious on the backside.
Mouthfeel - The body seemed thin, yet it propped up the taste profile well.
Overall - I had this one-off on tap at the brewery and found it to be remarkable. It needs to be bottled.
