Munich Dark
Capital Brewery
Look: 4.0 l 5.0
Nice dark brown with orange hues SRM ~ 20. The head fades quickly.
Smell: 4.0 l 5.0
It smells like malt and noble hops
Taste: 4.0 l 5.0
Malty clean fermentation with a subtle bitterness. It has that German green bottle dark beer taste kind of like a Becks Dark or St. Pauly Girl Dark
Instincts suspect they're using "decoction process" to derive those caramel malt like flavors.
Mouth feel: 4.0 l 5.0
A little sweet from the malt, but the hops shut it down rather quickly, so it's balanced. Alcohol is mild and the carbonation is good.
Overall 4.0 l 5.0
Well executed German Dunkel. Munich dark beer. I don't have a single "go to beer", but this could be it, if they could make it all year round.
Note This is not the collectivo coffee with vanilla version. It's just the Munich Dark
