Burnt copper with a fuzzy khaki head dying to a thin film and thick collar.
Smell is baked apple, pie crust and cinnamon while taste is a little more aggressive in spice, but also more toasty with a bitter bite of something.
It's decent for a Christmas ale, and not too overboard, with a nice medium-full body and a tingly but dry swallow.

Served on tap into a snifter. The seventh of my 2014 twelve beers of Christmas.
A- Poured a dark reddish brown with a light ring of off-white head that left no lace.
S- Tons of fresh cinnamon and vanilla, and some orange peel notes.
T- Tons of very fresh cinnamon and vanilla dominate the beer, some orange peel, very light bready notes and finishes with pretty high bitterness.
M- Very light, fizzy carbonation, and dry. Very light bodied for the style.
O- The fresh cinnamon and vanilla flavors were amazing. You can tell they used high quality ingredients for the spices. However, the body was very light and underwhelming for the style. The spices did overwhelm and there was not much in the way of malt character that I could taste. My favorite spiced winter warmers usually have a bold spice presence, but also a nice malt backbone that can hold up to the spices.
