Had on tap. Brownish black with a finger of dark brown foam. Peanut butter, bourbon, chocolate, slight coffee and lactose aromas. These are the flavors in the taste too, but with more bourbon, and some sweet breadiness to it as a backbone. Get a lot of coffee, which tastes great, but does detract from the pure pb cup vision. Peanut butter is rich and deep, well done. Body is a little thin near the finish, but otherwise good balance with booze and adjuncts, goes down easy for 12.5%. Dessert anyone?

Burnt brownish-black with a creamy, thin film and curled tan collar, flavors of peanut butter and toasted pie crust come out right up front, followed by dark chocolate chip that precedes a noticeable bourbon sting slowly developing after the cleanly semi-dry swallow. The medium-light body has a crisp firm fizz that delivers a unique tang to this thoroughly satisfying pastry stout.
