First, this is not a Hefe, it's an American Pale Wheat Ale brewed with oranges. On tap at the brewery tasting room.
Sweet at first sip, and makes me think of a Tripel. Strongly flavored. Fruity with a distinct tangerine peel taste and a sugary marmalade note.
More of a flavored sipping ale than a thirst-quenching light wheat. This one is surprisingly substantial. Hazy light yellow in the glass. Pleasant sudsy mouthfeel.
