4204's Pecan Brown Ale has a great color and smell. The head disapears quickly leaving less than average carbonation. The taste and smell of pecan and malt are there, but the floral notes overpower it. It doesn't have the cleanest of finishes and should probably be drank colder than most ales. It's a good beer, but not fantastic. I wouldn't kick it out of my fridge.

Taste: mellow roasted pecan nutty notes, crisp airy mouthfeel, earthy malts. Nutty only slight sweet toasted nose. Copper hue, clear, average head and lace. Medium to med/light body.

Light Chestnut brown with medium head that quickly disappears. Smells mostly of caramel malt with a bit of nuttiness. The pecan flavor is soft and blends nicely with the light maltiness. Carbonation is high, mouthfeel thin.

From the can, it pours a nice slightly hazy brown with a small light brown head that leaves lacing. Nice nutty scent, followed by a malty with a slight bit of nut mouth taste. Nice!

This is a dark roasted brown which seems to overpower any pecan flavors that are supposed to be present. The best thing about the beer is it's smell, but it is misleading. The worst thing is it's feel. It is over carbonated and a bit thin.

Just got done trying this beer, was very interested to try a pecan beer. Got it in a can and poured it into a glass to get a nice frothy head with slight pecan aromas. The color is a tad darker than a brown ale but not thick as one.
The feel was definitely above water but not a sludgey beer. The taste gave a little bit of a bite at the back of the throat. Not like a bite from whiskey, more like a over carbonation bite from the fizz in the beer.
The taste of pecans was barely there for me and the flavor was a little lack luster in terms of flavor. Not overtly bad but, not as smooth as I was hoping for. A little bit of malty caramel aftertones and a hint of salt from the pecan.

I got a can of this off the Binnys single shelf. It poured a clear brownish amber with no head and no lace. The scent had hints of brown sugar and nuts. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink...there was some maple and nut presence. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation with good carbonation. Overall it wad ok.
