Pours a dark murky burgundy, with a finger of khaki head. Head retention is below average, with no lacing left behind. Aroma is caramel, toffee, molasses, oak, and alcohol. Flavor profile is toffee, caramel, molasses, syrup, and oak. There is a dry, boozy finish. Mouth feel is medium in thickness, with a smooth, glass-like feel. Overall, hearty sweet notes with a boozy finish. While it isn't exactly smooth and balanced, it is tasty.
