Fairly thin mouthfeel for a 10 percent. Smells of barrel, vanilla. Tastes sweet, very much a vanilla barrel sort of flavor. I didn't really perceive any coffee in the smell or taste. If you like barrel aged stouts you might like this, but its no breakfast stout.

From a twelve ounce aluminum can, this is a thick, solid black brew. Slim tan head. The aroma is malty, roasty, and very boozy. Highly roasted grain, mixed with espresso bean scents dominate. The taste is very warming...slightly sweet...malt and roasted notes. The finish is full with alcohol and coffee. Not bad, but a little rough.
