Let's say you dunked your gym socks into a weak cup of coffee. Thats what this tastes and smell like. At first i thought, hrm...this lager smells a bit like coffee. Then my wife pointed out that it smells like an old sock. And she's spot on. We're glad there are only 2 in this pack. Tastes and smells like coffee brewed in an old gym sock. I recommend trying it if you love to smell your dirty socks.

Pours a translucent amber with a finger of khaki foam. Head retention is okay to poor. Aroma is medium-roast coffee that carries a light charring. Chocolate mingles with crackery, pilsner malts in the remainder of the aroma. It smells light and refreshing, with coffee coming over the top. Flavor profile is medium-roast, light-bodied coffee on crackery, bready pilsner malts, and light herbal hop notes. Chocolate adds a little extra depth to the flavor profile. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a crisp texture that breaks down to a more watery, thin texture as the beer warms. Overall, it nails the naming - "Coffee Lager". Coffee notes are abundant and are well reserved for the style. Pilsner malts compliment the coffee slightly. Good for a quick hit of coffee in a refreshing beer package.
