Appearance: Muddy brown, nearly black in 10 oz. glass served at Red Yeti brewpub. Little evidence of lacing.
Aroma: Mellow bittersweet chocolate, some sweetness, roasty. Pretty faithful to classic English porter style.
Taste: British-style, with a light body and a touch of sweetness from the honey I’d assume. Flourishes of nuttiness, bittersweet cocoa, and roastiness before closing out with a bitter finish. Overall, a very drinkable and easygoing classic-style porter, not too huge or overpowering, but solid and balanced. Well-done.
