Served from 0.5l bottle. Batch #229 with expiration date of 06.09.19 4.7% ABV. "Freshly imported" from Norwegian friend and chilled in fridge three days before serving.
Upon opening, bottle started spewing huge foam mixed with a few ounces of beer. Strike 1. Poured hugely cloudy (strike 2) and with giant, tan head taking up 30% of the glass. Retention of head mild; not creamy but large bubbles in lace. Initial nose was that of hops (grass and some vinegar notes.)
Taste was rather unpleasant. Metallic and butterscotch. Certainly a IPA bitter taste yet with with odd, large raisin / vegetable finish. Wet cardboard. Very undesirable sour/phenolic aftertaste. Strike 3 for me.
Given other positive reviews of this beer elsewhere, I assume this batch was infected or suffered from poor handling.
I consumed a total of 1/4 of the beer and dumped the rest. I've only ever had to do this a few times with commercial brew so that says something is very wrong here.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
