Powerful banana aroma followed by malty breadiness and hints of biscuit and toffee flavors. A powerful malt bomb with surreal hefeweizen yeast piquancy. Pours a silky dark amber color with an off-white head.

If you have ever had three nihilists burst into your bathroom with an amphibious rodent and threaten to cut you in weird ways then you know life can have a few gutters. Nice Marmot might be the perfect way to abide that kind of aggression, so crank up the whale songs and have a glass. Besides, it really ties the room together.

i feel like imperial versions of this style are are to come by, and i was excited to try this on tap at their gorgeous new space they built in billings, wow! cool brew, chestnut reddish and pretty clear, just a short film of tan bubbles, looks more refined and less viscous than anticipated, also a couple shades lighter too, looks well refined. the aroma on this is familiar hefeweizen type yeast, old worldy, run warm, intentionally estery, plantain and clove and white pepper notes, even coriander and raw cashew, almost creamy, and then with a ton of malt along with it, raisin, nutty wheat, bran muffin, toffee granola, and just a little caramelized sweetness, faint bananas foster notes. the flavor is not as sweet as it smells, its a deeper earthier malt, somewhat drier and lighter than it smells. still a raisin note, a deep toasted profile, and mild brown sugar, and they set up the yeast really well, which is more fruity than spicy to me now, combining with a little alcohol as this warms, i get cooked banana, clove and allspice, and milled pepper, its traditional in many ways, and comes across as almost elegant for its strength, not a ton of body or heft here at all, and the carbonation is better than it looks. i get toasted nuts here, molasses, brandy, and red apple as well, cool ester profile, light cocoa too, flavorful brew and rather well made. more fall than winter but very enjoyable.

22oz bottle, with no bottling date.
Dark amber colored body. Half finger of eggshell white head, which sticks around as a maze of bubbles. Leaves behind some webs of lacing.
Aroma of rich bready malts, with banana and cloves.
Taste of bready malts, banana, cloves, and toffee. Has a mild sweetness.
Medium mouth feel. Quite smooth in texture. Very good carbonation.
Dark wheat beer that has the right mix of phenols and bready malts. Quite tasty.
