Any chance that Zot! Zot! is the lost cousin of Brugse Zot? Zot! Zot! has been found in downtown Santa Ana at The Good Beer Company, and available on-tap. On to the beer:
While a small head holds on top, a dark golden color attempts to cross into the orange spectrum. Lacing is stringy on top. I lean my nose in to smell....nothing. And again....nothing. I eventually get a wee note of toast, otherwise I may as well smell water.
I was excited to see a low alcohol option (4% ABV) on the taplist. Too bad there's little substance to it. I thought it tasted like cornflakes cereal first! The beer has a toasted accent, so now I'm drinking toasted cereal. I get a metallic note too. I appreciate its light body and tight carbonation, but this beer is not for me. If this has any relationship with Brugse Zot, this may as well be the hillbilly cousin.
