Very interesting beer, not like anything I have had before.
Look - Molasses with surprisingly minimal head. The bit of head I do see is a caramel brown color. Superior lacing around the glass.
Smell - Spiced prunes or maybe plum?
Taste - Its' got a slightly caramelized sweet prune flavor, that quickly plays into a sour grapefruit flavor. Very unique and honestly not like anything I have had before. There's some slight bitterness on the finish as well.
Feel - Pretty chewy and definitely coats the mouth well. Don't think imperial stout thick, but it has good body for sure.
Overall - The flavors don't work well for me. It's a little too sour/grapefruit-y for me, but I appreciate the uniqueness of this beer. If you have the chance, I would try it but I wouldn't say this is something I would buy again.
