Spacious commercial building on the southeast section of town. Long straight bar along the entrance wall seats about 20, with plenty of table inside and out on the sidewalk patio. 20 beers on tap; single cans to go. Friendly bartender.

Recently visited with a local BA from Portland. We sat in the back outside, which was really nice. Good selection and good service. It's definitely worth a visit if you are over at Great Notion or in the area.

Visited on a weeknight during a trip to Portland - we went for beers and pizza from the in-house pizza place called Ranch (which was pretty good pan style pizza). Fairly large space, there is a bar where you order beers and then they have a section a couple steps up that is rows of booths along the window side of the space. About 15 beers on draft good selection of styles. I had pints of the ESB and the Oatmeal stout - both were good. They have a to-go cooler, so I also picked up a couple of their special release bottles/cans to stash in my luggage to bring home.

New. Modern tap room. Bright, airy, small nosh menu available. 12 taps, run the gamut of styles. Nothing knocked my socks off yet, but nice neighborhood vibe.

I visited Baerlic while in Portland with some friends of mine a couple weeks ago. The taproom has a slick light industrial vibe, with lots of barrels about, which I love. The place is pretty huge, and there's tons of outdoor seating. Covered, uncovered; just tons of it. Service is friendly and cool; it's limited to the bar but is solid and helpful. It's a chill and tasty place to hang out.
There were 14 beers on top on my visit, with a nice mix of styles. Trickle Drops double hazy IPA is quite good and the barrel aged Mexican stout is good, though quite boozy. I also had a couple of the lagers, the Italian pilsner and the Dad Beer, and they were probably my favorites. Overall the beer is pretty good!

Subdued, mellow, wood paneled brewery. I came on a quiet evening. Beertender was friendly, and accommodating. I wish I had been able to spend more time here. You can bring food over, so plan ahead!

Two current locations. The newest food card pod is a great spot! Small bar area, with decent selection of their beers. The availability of food at the carts makes the experience great, as there is a mix of options. The flagship pub overall have a solid vibe In décor, the staff is always friendly and helpful. They also tend to make some delicious beers.

The Baerlic tasting rooms seems to be in something of an odd location, located right next to the huge Blitz Ladd sports bar (which seems to be almost always packed), and just around the corner from BeerMongers and Apex. Given the location, it's pretty easy to overlook the tasting room, which is a shame. Baerlic beers are consistently quite good, and sometimes outstanding. The afternoon I stopped by to sample some of their excellent Delorean wheat IPA, the place seemed almost empty (the tasting room is pretty good size), with probably no more than 10 folks in attendance. Regardless, the very friendly bartenders seemed to be in a good mood, and beer orders came quickly. On this particular day, they had around 11 or 12 beers on tap, including a white peppercorn saison on cask that was pretty tasty. The vibe/atmosphere in the tasting room is pretty minimalistic, which was fine by me.
This is certainly a solid place to come by and hang out with a beer, but given the other options in the area, I'm not sure I can see myself stopping by all the often. Within a mile or two of the tasting room there's the Cascade Barrel Room, Growler Guys, the Commons and Green Dragon (in addition to the other places already mentioned), so coming to the tasting room is never going to be anyone's best option. Oh well...

An awesome, if unheralded, taproom in Portland. Sure, the beaten trackers will send you to the usual suspects, but Baerlic shines in its neighborhood obscurity. They typically have a broad selection of beers on tap that are consistently tasty, and they're still low-key enough to make it an easy trip. Worth a stop!

Finally got a chance to stop by here and was not disappointed. The interior is spacious and looks to be able to cater to busy nights. The two bartenders I encountered were friendly. One even taking the time to explain their newest cask beer. The beers were great with a diverse selection (see below). Only drawback you have to order at the bar as I saw no one servicing tables and no food served and not a lot of restaurants in walking distance.
