Picked this up at the Rincon Valley Tap Room in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours a nice dark mahogany, with about a one finger head . The smell is pleasant, smoky, with hints of dried fruit . The taste is also pleasant, but not terribly interesting. With a name like this, was hoping for something bolder, more Christmas-y. Mild sweetness, mild flavor. Seems to fall somewhere between an American Barleywine and an English Barleywine. Overall, it was decent beer but not something I'd seek out again.
