Pours an odd brown color. Thin foam. Hoppy aroma. Nutty malt body with a strong hop finish. Tastes a little watered down or like it's mixed with ice tea. It's not bad it's just really odd.

Canned 1/6/23. Hazy deep amber with slight, light tan head. Looks like cider, but a bit darker.
Smell is basic Citra-hopped IPA , though it's actually Galaxy ;) : bright fresh grapefruit, with a little orange and pineapple.
Taste is similar to aroma , mostly grapefruit, slight candied orange rind, and hints of pineapple and kiwi. Moderate bitterness.
Feel is about how it looks : smooth and juicy, like cider, with light, very, very fine, sharp, carbonation tingle.
Overall , while it's not a pretty beer, everything else is quite good.
{Edit} I see other reviews mention "malty", "thin", "not very fruity". May be it got tweaked, or maybe there's batch variation? . In any event , as I dip into a second one, I'm not getting any of that, & it's coming across as my review describes it. Tastes like a fresh beer, even though it's just short of 2 months old.

Draft at Bottle Rocket. Half pour with small creamy head, Light amber. Malty in both aroma and taste, but still with a nice hops kick, bringing it more into pale ale territory

Nice bronze rusty Cider red color so I expected a deeper heavier juicy flavor but it's kind of thin.
Drinkable with a little fruity taste but pretty basic

On tap at Big Ditch Brewing Company in Buffalo, NY.
This one pours a rusted looking red color, with a small head, and a lot of lacing.
This one smells like lightly fruity hops, dankness, bready malt and toffee.
Given that this was hopped with Galaxy- I expected a big juicy and hoppy blast. I didn't really get that. There's some bitterness, but very little fruitiness, as the (admittedly tasty) maltiness of this kind of overwhelms the advertised hop flavor.
This is slightly watery and thin, with a normal level of carbonation.
I definitely expected a bit more out of this one.

I found this to be a very poor example of the style. It was extremely bitter with no hop aroma or flavour and some caramel sweetness. Basically a two-note beer Needs work.

Pours amber orange and very clear with a off white head. Lots of overripe tropical fruits and dank notes in the nose with a slight onion note. Taste is assertively bitter up front with the perfect amount of caramel sweetness on the middle of the palate. Lingering bitterness and ripe peaches, pine, and marmalade jelly. Delicious.

Pours from the growler a brilliant copper/bronze with a creamy off white head atop, almost looks like a cask pour.Citrusy hops along with English toffee and caramel in the nose, like an old school left coast hoppy red.Grapefruit rind sticks out on the palate up front and it really stands out, some toffee and caramel malts play a big role as well making for a near balanced beer.I really like this beer and others from Big Ditch but to me this is an old school left coast hopped up red than an IPA,either way it's really damn good.
