Collaboration with K2 Brothers Brewing

We collaborated with K2 from Penfield, NY to create this blend of oats, Mosaic and Citra hops, blueberries and lactose, to yield a blue, hoppy, sweet treat with balanced blueberry flavor in a double IPA.

MALT: 2-Row, Oat Malt, Flaked Oats, Lactose.
HOPS: Mosaic, Citra.

Served on tap in a 13 oz (384 ml) goblet at the Big Ditch Brewing in Buffalo, NY.
A: Pours an opaque mauve color with a one finger, pink tinged head, rim retention, and some sudsy lacing.
S: Aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, and guava.
T: Semisweet. Flavor profile largely follows the nose, but more blueberry than other elements. Little or not bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Was less excited by this than I expected. Certainly drinkable.
