We love beer because of the diversity of styles that can be produced from the four basic ingredients of malt, hops, yeast, and water. But, in a world where it seems like craft beer is increasingly tasting similar, we wanted to shine a light on "beer that tastes like beer" to keep us from forgetting why we fell in love with craft beer in the first place.
This German-style malty lager features notes of toasted bread, fig, and a light touch of honey on the finish, with a fairly light and refreshing body for the style.

Pours a clear amber. Thin foam. Malty aroma. Nutty malt body. Lightly sweet. Creamy smooth finish. Excellent flavor. Very good.

Clear deep amber, with moderate light tan head. Head leaves a thin ring and surface sheet, with a few spots of lacing.
Smell is toffee, caramel , and some brown bread crust. Lightly sweet, but a little less so, than typical.
Taste is more-or-less same as aroma, but a bit drier. I like that. Light noble hop spiciness and bitterness.
Feel is medium, smooth, with moderate, very fine carbonation, that tingles, then bites a little at finish. Slight drying sensation after finish.
Overall, a basic thing , well-done. Exactly what they were aiming for. Sometimes that is what hits the spot, rather than an over-the-top attempt at "Wow!" . This is a good example of that. :)

This one pours a dark-ish amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like toasted and caramelly malt and a bit of grassy hop character.
This is a pretty solid stab at the style - uncomplicated, but very tasty. There's not too much sweetness, just rich toasty and bready malt, some caramel, and just the slightest hint of hop character.
This is light bodied, creamy, with a soft and super drinkable finish.
Big Ditch just about nailed this style - it's pretty much what I want out of the darker marzen style.
