We love beer because of the diversity of styles that can be produced from the four basic ingredients of malt, hops, yeast, and water. But, in a world where it seems like craft beer is increasingly tasting similar, we wanted to shine a light on "beer that tastes like beer" to keep us from forgetting why we fell in love with craft beer in the first place.
This traditional Scotch Ale features slight fruitiness from the ale yeast used and rich, caramel, raisiny malt flavor with a touch of roast. Orange peel is then added to lend a light citrus flavor to the beer.

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is dark amber, dense looking, head is tan with fine bubbles, head presents 1 finger thick and then dissipates to a solid top and some spotty lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is caramel, toffee, big malt base that leads to a fruity, raisiny character.
Taste is similar to aroma lead by the big malt base: caramel, toffee, light chocolate, hint of roast, raisins, earthy hop notes.
Mouthfeel is low/moderate carbonation, moderates/strong sweetness, moderate bitterness - lingering sweetness and light bitterness on the tongue.
Overall a very nice Scottish style ale with a very dominant maltiness that is to style and very enjoyable.
