This Rare version of Aqueduct was aged in a single 15-year Heaven Hill Malt Whiskey barrel before bottling by hand. The result provides strong spirit, toffee, and tobacco notes to our rich and roasty stout.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a relatively thin black with minimal head. The nose is really nice - it clearly showcases the single 15-year Heaven Hill barrel used to age this. Getting some chocolate and a hint of burnt rubber. A big malty backbone is clear. Really smooth on the nose.
The taste is freaking wonderful. Big black licorice and whiskey right out of the gate. Dang! What flavor! Dark chocolate, burnt toffee, marzipan, slight charred wood note, and a hint of apple pie. There is a slight spice - almost a Christmas spice. Maybe a slight hint of cinnamon as well. Vanilla is definitely there as well.
Overall, this is just a really great stout with a really nice mix of flavors that don't clash. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a sweet vanilla and chocolate aftertaste.
