Bottle at The Situation. Black colour, small head with retention, small lace. Aroma is a bit smokey, coffee, chocolate, wood, pepper, dried fruits. Medium to full body, sticky texture, flat carbonation. Sweet finish. Taste of coffee, roasted malts, chocolate, dried fruits, wood. Dense drinking, good.

Dark brown color, no head. Aroma has booze soaked dark fruits, molasses, umami, some burnt caramel and dark malts. Taste is malty, bittersweet, quite roasty, savory and a bit boozy. Medium to full bodied, low carbonation. A real sipper, complex and tasty.

Poured at cellar temp. Pours motor oil black with beautiful head that dissipates fairly quickly. Nose is gorgeous. Lots of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, roasted malts, tree bark. Taste is amazing. Notes of smoke, tobacco, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, vanilla. Definitely a bitterness on the back end, but it's the black licorice that really sticks around. This is a fantastic stout. The alcohol (12%) is really well hidden. Mouthfeel is insane. Super thick and creamy. Overall, one of my favorite imperial stouts. Just really well rounded and perfectly executed. I will be seeking out more of this.
