2017 beer, no head. Alcohol though warming took a while, coffee, a big aged beer. Lots of flavour, this was a robust concoction. Some smoke smell. A fireplace beer.

A 330ml bottle with a best before date of May 2023. Poured into what I guess is a water glass (being all that I could find at the hotel late at night).
Appearance: Black in colour with no head and no lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, coffee grounds, light nuttiness.
Taste: Roasty, coffee, light to moderate sweetness, chocolate, dark fruit, raisin, candied dates, brown sugar, molasses.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with soft carbonation.
Overall: Good and interesting flavours, but perhaps on the verge of being too sweet for me.

Got this one from the Duvel guy in Utrecht
From a bottle into a snifter
Best before March 2023
Honduran Coffee
APPEARANCE: Pours out opaque black and yields a two finger, medium-thicker looking, creamy tan head with great retention. Jet black body with minimal carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full, creamy wisp. Splotchy and swirly wisp remains leaving some decent lacing on the glass as it empties. Very nice looking.
SMELL: Roasted aromas with vanilla cream, pure chocolate, roasted coffee beans, butterscotch notes and a decent dose of leather on the nose. Bold.
TASTE: Leather flavors, with plenty of roasted character, vanilla cream and some coffee up front. A decent dose of alcohol at the swallow, moving into a bold, boozy finish of roasted malts, creamy vanilla sweetness, notes of butterscotch, as well as some bitter pure chocolate and roasted, creamy coffee lingering on the palate. Bold, flavorful, and plenty roasted and boozy.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body and medium carbonation. Quite creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes rather sticky. Some solid heat lingers.
OVERALL: Great stuff. Really well put together, with lots of nice aromas and flavors worth enjoying. The look and feel on this one work really well too. I have enjoyed what I’ve had from Laugar so far but this one might be my favorite stout brew yet. Will have to dive into more their stuff when I get the chance. Check it out if you’re a fan of big coffee stouts. Recommended.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some black chocolate and some very nice floral coffee notes. Taste is a sublime mix of roasted malt with some floral coffee notes, some black chocolate with light subtle residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation and no real apparent alcohol notes. Wonderful coffee stout.

Black color with a dark brown ring of foam. Aroma has chocolate syrup, intense malt notes, some umami, roasted meat and cocoa cake. Taste starts with dark malts, bitter chocolate, cacao, savory roasted grain flavor and light alcohol heat on the finish. Full bodied with low carbonation. Dangerously drinkable for its ABV. A classic Russian Imperial Stout.
