Lord Chambray

I visited Lord Chambray a couple weeks ago while exploring the Maltese brew scene. It's a bit out of the way, on the island of Gozo, which is a 45-minute ferry ride from Valletta (and worth going to for many reasons). On my visit, they had 11 beers on tap (plus a hop water): two lagers, a fruited sour, two pale ales, a witbier, a stout, and four IPAs of various strengths and sub-styles. The beers I had at the brewery were good, particularly the sour.

The taproom itself is just a small area, with 4-5 bar seats and seating for maybe a dozen more, but there's also a nice shaded outdoor area as well. Just behind the doors from the taproom is the brewery itself; they offer tours for those interested. I sat up at the bar and the service was great -- I had a great conversation with the friendly and knowledgeable bartender Agi who took care to pour lovely beers with the appropriate head and everything. I definitely recommend visiting Lord Chambray if you happen to be on Gozo.
