Bottle Description: "matured in used whiskey barrels for nine months, the rich chocolate and coffee of the stout are complimented by gentle whiskey notes from the barrel."

Poured from the bottle a solid dark brown, almost black. Has clarity to it. Rich aromas of chocolate, toastiness and whiskey.

The Bushmill's barrels used in the aging process give this stout an underlying gentle, warming whiskey taste and a velvety mouth feel. Initial profiles of chocolate malt and mild toasty bitterness give out to the whiskey, which is the sole remaining aftertaste. Blended well and tasty, this is balanced; you cannot detect any strong alcoholic piques for the 7% that it is.

Would I buy this beer again? Definitely.
