After drinking Guinness, Smithwick's, and Murphy's for a week straight, it was great to find a good hop forward beer in a country where lagers and stouts are king. It was a very nice change of pace to say the least. Found in a tiny pub in Clifden, Ireland.

500ml bottle from The Front Door, Galway (€5.00):
Quite a pleasant & very hoppy beer overall, there was certainly a lot more bitterness & pine flavours showing than I'd expected from an Irish brewed beer given how subdued some of the previous IPA offerings from the country have been but this one was definitely American in style from the start. There was plenty of citrus & grapefruit flavours coming through with some nice touches of tropical fruits too which helped add some sweetness around the middle & the relatively strong abv. of the beer was also appreciated. An excellent beer all round & definitely one of Ireland's better offerings, this is one I can see myself going back to again if I'm able to find a bottle anywhere in future.

clear golden with plentiful frothy head , hoppy aroma with slightly spicy malt, malty hoppy flavour, lots of bite yet smooth and rounded, really fine ale. Tried this 2 years back in Connemara and this is the first bottle I've seen since, highly recommended. Had a pint of keg today in the Huntsman Inn Galway, a step up from the bottled variety, more flavour, fresher tasting, very nice.

Reddish brown with good lacing. Alcohol well hidden. Not as hoppy as I expected or hoped.
