Visited on 13 March with BA johnfurbock, following seeing TSV 1860 Munich play in the Allianz Arena.
We made our way to Feldkirchen on this evening for a couple of brews and some solid Bavarian cooking. We found both, and then some. This is a place that is familiar to BA johnfurbock, and insisted we go. The brick facade was incredibly appealing on the outside. The interior decorations are hefty with the aeronautic theme with copper kettles and brewing equipment sitting out in the open. The dark wooden furniture just further helped make this place feel like home. If I recall right, John and I both ate the roast pork (shocking, I know), and it was perhaps the best meal I had during this visit. The Bier, and we focused on the KILLER Weisbier, was stellar. Aside from their house offerings, they also offer Hofbrauhaus Traunstein wares - all of which are some of the best I have ever had. At about 11pm, the lights dimmed and I figured it was time to have a last call. Rather, after looking down at the paper handed t me by out server, it was time to fold paper airplanes and fling them all over hell an creation. Amazing fun.
The vibe in this place, alone, is worth a return trip. I will return to this place again and again. No question. Great food, great Bier, solid staffing, incredible vibe. Perhaps the most fun I had indoors while I was in Munich on this visit.
A big thanks to BA johnfurbock for this one.
