cool project here, and nice to have this one on tap shortly after the election. its a double dry hopped hazy pale with a bunch of hops but most distinctly experimental varietal 630, which i am not sure i have seen before, and which definitely rises above more familiar citra notes in this, a very well made, and liberally hopped beer here. yellow and frothy headed brew, quite pale and active. big stone fruit aroma of ripe peach, some pineapple and white grape behind that, and a little herbal layers as well, then some lemongrass from the citra, a soft and curious vanilla wrinkle, and some simple but sturdy grain. the flavor is a basket of ripe fruit, yellow plum, juicy peach, green gooseberry, plenty of citrus, zest and flesh, a pretty clean ferment too on top of a somewhat more interesting grain base than anticipated, more than just pale two row, but also dry, earthy, and tidy at the end. this is a drinker for a hazy too, plenty of body but the beer isnt heavy. the freshness is incredible. and the hop profile is memorable. i will look for more beers with 630 in the future, this one shows a lot of promise. glad these guys got involved with the voting initiative, and the beer they brewed for it here is awesome! get some while it lasts.
