16oz can

Pours three fluffy fingers of white head into my Willi. Retention is average and the head mostly fades within a minute or two. Lacing is pretty nice. Body is golden, with pretty high clarity and a modest amount of bubbles coming up. Looks pretty good.

Nose is loaded with mandarin oranges, candi sweetness. Smells good, but extremely one dimensional.

Some of those fruity notes show up on the flavor, but they are far more subtle. A nice flavor, but could benefit from any kind of complexity.

Carbonation is pretty soft and low. Body drinks pretty full, though not thick. Has a decent shot of sweetness, but rides that line very close and doesn’t get cloying. Bitterness is somewhat low. Overall a surprisingly nice mouthfeel that does a lot of work to keep this enjoyable.

Drinkability is quite nice.

This drinks like a semi old-school double IPA with the way the fruit and sugars play with each other, usually not my favorite combination, but this is reasonable. Overall I’m not in love with the flavor here, but everything else comes together to make for a good drinking beer with an enjoyable mouthfeel.
