Bourbon Barrel fermented helles bock. At the brewery. Hopped with sterling and strissel spelt. Lubski hops added later. Smoky wet worty nose works for me somehow…good spring smell. I don’t get a ton of barrel, but that’s ok by me. The sticky mouthful reminds me of maibocks I love.

Hazy golden body.
Smell is light and sweet. A hint of banana, honey, oak, bourbon, and toasty notes. A surprising combination.
Taste is also surprising. Upfront hops, a bit of honey, then hints of leather and a touch of bourbon, all quite bitter. A bit confusing, but quite good.
