Consider the Ortolan is brewed with a combination of pilsner, two row, flaked barley, and malted oats. Hopped in the kettle with Citiva, Idaho 7, Simcoe and Sabro, and dry hopped heavily with the same. After fermentation, the results are a dangerously drinkable Double IPA with notes of juicy tropical fruit and Pina Colada in both the aroma and flavor.

Bright yellow and cloudy with abundant foam in the chalice. Extravagantly fruit-flavored in the juicy, milkshake vein. Quite sweet and quite bitter. Sticky and thick on the tongue. Massive aroma of orange, and maybe even banana. Acidic and astringent aftertaste.

Grain includes flaked barley and malted oats. Hops are listed as Citiva, Idaho 7, Simcoe, and Sabro. Citiva is a hop blend for these kinds of frui bomb hazies. Actually this is more of an Imperial IPA, and more hazy than West Coast. Call it a strong, fruity mess, but weirdly sippable. From the 16 oz can.
