Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. No date stamped on the can.
Appearance: hazy orange-yellow hue with a thick head of frothy eggshell foam atop. This is billed neither as a traditional IPA nor a hazy one, so I won't hold its haze against it.
Smell: slightly creamy, but also herbal, prickly, and dry. I might have downgraded this a bit without its creamy element, but I think there's an interesting promise of juice here.
Taste: sweet but also dry, herbal but also juicy. This is an interesting one! Not the type of beer in which I would normally expect to see Chinook hops, but I think the overall effect is interesting here. So, if you like novelty, this beer might be for you!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess. With a hint more body, it could be really excellent, though.
Overall: I like this beer; it's well-made, but more than that it's kind of novel -- an herbal, juicy beer. I had a beer with a somewhat similar novelty recently -- if this is a trend, I'm into it, but also I think the novelty could wear off soon enough.
